Mandy Houpt is a Colorado-grown artist. She and her husband started their small family jewelry business back in 1999. Mandy learned how to cut her own gemstones and silversmith from her husband Shaman, who also happens to have a Geology degree. She was the show chairperson for the Annual Four Corners Gem and Mineral Fair in Durango, CO for 4 years, as well as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Four Corners Gem and Mineral Society. Mandy has a degree in Biology as well as a teaching certificate in secondary science.

In May 2015, Mandy was diagnosed and treated for thyroid cancer. Currently, she is doing much better and is cancer free. While healing, Mandy started learning about sacred geometry. Shortly after, she had a vision of how to make the Flower of Life out of guitar string. Thus, she created a new line of jewelry that combined guitar strings and sacred geometry: “Wear A Positive Vibration” was born. Mandy also continues to create unique custom jewelry with quality stones and sterling silver.
